4 June, 8.00 pm, Swedish Film Goes Capri - The Dance Club
The Dance Club tells the story of Johannes, a psychology student who, together with performance artist Rakel, starts an unconventional club with some of his patients. Through movement, community and confrontation, the group tries to process the pain they carry. But as the club grows, Johannes finds it increasingly difficult to hold both the group and himself together. With her new film, director and screenwriter Lisa Langseth returns to themes of vulnerability, the longing for freedom and the need for community. Moving between comedy and drama, The Dance Club explores mental health, the limits of care and the human need to be seen, heard and understood.
